Terms of use

Rules for using this website.

Effective October 20, 2026. These terms cover the public website. They are not the limited consultation agreement, and they are not an engagement letter.

The firm

This site is operated by Crawford Law PLLC, a Texas professional limited liability company, file number 806712661. Andrew M. Crawford, State Bar of Texas number 24148908, is responsible for the content. The practice is in Leander, Texas, and serves North Austin. See the attorney advertising notice.

Not legal advice, and no relationship from browsing

The articles on this site are general information. They are not legal advice about your facts. Reading them, calling, emailing, or using the intake assistant does not create an attorney-client relationship. Deadlines mentioned on the site, including defamation limitations and the timing of a motion under the Texas Citizens Participation Act, are general. The firm has not calculated your deadline.

The limited consultation is a different contract

A limited consultation starts only when you sign the limited consultation and confidentiality agreement and the system records a receipt. That agreement, not these website terms, governs the consultation. Signing it does not mean the firm has agreed to take the underlying case. Further work requires a separate engagement letter and a fee. The intake itself is not a bill.

The intake assistant

The intake assistant is software. It asks a fixed set of intake questions. It is not a lawyer and it has no authority to promise that the firm will represent you. You may type. Voice is optional and uses your browser. Do not send secrets before you sign, and do not send account numbers or medical records at all.

No guarantees

The firm does not guarantee a result, a recovery, a takedown, or a particular timeline. Descriptions of Andrew M. Crawford’s earlier human-resources work are biographical. They are not a warranty.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, to probe or disrupt it, to submit someone else’s information without authority, or to send an emergency. If someone is in danger, call 911. If you may act on thoughts of suicide, call or text 988.

Intellectual property

The text and design of the site belong to the firm. The portrait is of Andrew M. Crawford. You may share a link. You may not copy the site and present it as your own.

Website warranty and liability

The public website is provided as is. The firm does not warrant that the pages will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the firm is not liable for damages arising only from your use of the public pages, including a decision you make from general information on the site without a signed consultation.

That limit applies to the public website. It does not waive a duty the firm owes after it has accepted a signed limited consultation. It does not waive the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. If a provision of these terms conflicts with those rules, the rules control.

Texas law

These website terms are governed by Texas law. Courts in Texas are the venue for a dispute about the website itself, except where a rule or a later engagement letter provides otherwise.

Changes and contact

The firm may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. Continued use of the public site after that posting is acceptance of the new terms. It does not change an agreement you have already signed.
