Andrew M. Crawford

A lawyer who spent a decade inside the workplace.

Andrew M. Crawford has been licensed in Illinois since 2014 and in Texas since 2025. He spent more than ten years in human resources and labor relations before opening Crawford Law PLLC in Leander.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2014. The decade after that was spent doing the work the firm now offers from the outside: employee relations, investigations, handbooks, leave, and labor relations.

At Deere & Company he started in labor relations in Coffeyville, Kansas, then employee relations at plants in Iowa and Tennessee, including a factory of about a thousand people. As labor relations manager for North American parts, he covered three UAW warehouses and five non-union warehouses, discipline and grievance investigations for more than 1,200 employees, and the 2021 bargaining committee for a collective bargaining agreement covering more than 10,000 employees.

He then became HR manager at The Boring Company for its Texas sites: employee relations, recruiting, leave, benefits, investigations, and audits, in a startup rather than a Fortune 100 company. From 2023 to 2026 he was an HR manager at Activision, a division of Microsoft. More than ten years of that career sat inside large companies.

He served in the Army National Guard in O’Fallon, Illinois, and in Austin. He left the Guard as a captain, after commanding a 115-soldier chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) company, and he served full time as detachment leader of a search-and-rescue platoon.

He was admitted to practice in Illinois in 2014 and to the State Bar of Texas in 2025. Crawford Law PLLC is a Texas professional limited liability company, formed in 2026. The practice is in Texas, from Leander, for clients in North Austin.
