Privacy
What this site collects, and why.
Effective October 20, 2026. This policy covers crawfordlawtx.com, which is operated by Crawford Law PLLC in Leander, Texas.
Who is responsible
Crawford Law PLLC, a Texas professional limited liability company. Andrew M. Crawford, State Bar of Texas 24148908, is the lawyer responsible for the site. Privacy questions go to andrew@crawfordlawtx.com or (309) 391-3489.
Information the public pages collect
The site does not use advertising cookies and it does not use Google Analytics. It does not sell personal information and it does not share information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views: which pages are visited, the referring site, and the country, browser, and device type. It does not set cookies, and it does not identify you or follow you across other sites. It does not record what you type into the intake.
The host, Vercel, may keep ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. Those logs are used to run and protect the site.
The intake
If you use the online intake, the firm collects what you submit: name, email, phone, matter type, the names of adverse parties, place, your answers, and the chat transcript, including what you typed before you signed. After you sign, it also stores the signature record: the legal name you typed, the time on your device, the time the server recorded the signature, your IP address, your user agent, the agreement version, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the agreement text.
Do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, financial account numbers, or medical records through the intake.
Voice
Voice is off until you turn it on. Speech recognition and spoken prompts use your browser’s own speech tools. The firm does not receive or store a separate audio file. The words that land in the transcript are stored with the intake if you send them. The transcript can be wrong. Typing is always available.
How it is used
The firm uses intake information to screen conflicts, to decide whether it can consult with you, and, after a signed receipt, to review the limited consultation. A copy is emailed to Andrew M. Crawford. The site rate-limits submissions to reduce abuse.
Who receives it
- Andrew M. Crawford, at the firm.
- An email vendor, either Resend or the firm’s email host, solely to deliver that notice. If no email vendor is configured, the receipt says the email was not confirmed.
- Vercel, which hosts the website, processes the submission, and counts page views.
- An optional language-model vendor (xAI) only after you have signed, and only if the firm has turned that feature on, to suggest a single follow-up question. The interview is not sent to that vendor before you sign. The scripted questions do not need it.
The firm does not sell the intake. It may disclose information if the law requires it, or if you consent, or as the rules of professional conduct allow.
Retention, access, and deletion
You may email the firm to ask what intake information it holds about you, to ask for a correction, or to ask for deletion. Professional obligations, conflict records, and the firm’s file policy may require it to keep information even after a request. A request to delete does not unwind a consultation that already happened, and it does not require the firm to destroy records it must keep.
On the hosted site, a copy written to the server’s temporary disk is not a permanent archive. The email to the lawyer is the durable copy. If that email is not confirmed, call.
Texas privacy law
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies to controllers that meet its volume thresholds. A solo firm of this size is not expected to meet those thresholds. Even so, you may use the email above to ask for access, correction, or deletion, subject to the professional-record limits in the previous section. This policy is not an admission that the Act applies.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and the firm does not knowingly collect information from them. A parent or guardian may include limited information about a child when a family or estate matter requires it, and then only after the consultation agreement.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No website is immune from misuse. Do not use the intake for an emergency. Call 911.
Accessibility
The firm aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The pages use text, visible focus, a skip link, and labels on the intake fields. Voice is an extra, not a requirement. If a page blocks you, email andrew@crawfordlawtx.com or call (309) 391-3489 and say which page and what failed. The firm will look for a practical fix or another way to take the inquiry.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The consultation agreement you sign is a separate document. Its version is the one named on your receipt. See also the terms of use and the advertising notice.
